WILSON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Officials with the Wilson Police Department say officers shot a man armed with a knife Thursday afternoon.
It happened around 2:40 p.m. in the 1800 block of Rand Road.
The man was taken to the hospital. There's no word on his condition.
The State Bureau of Investigation has been called in, which is standard procedure in any officer-involved shooting.
Authorities blocked off several streets while conducting the investigation.
