Hillsborough school bus overturns, no students on board

WFLA News Channel 8

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WFLA) - A Hillsborough County school bus driver says a driver cut her off moments before the bus veered off the roadway and flipped onto its side. It happened Friday afternoon on North Dale Mabry Highway and Calusa Trace. Hillsborough County School District spokesperson Tanya Arja says the bus driver, Laura Christine Leira, had to make a defensive move after another driver cut her off. The bus left the roadway, hit a curb, and turned on its side. The driver was the only one on board. Arja says she is shaken, but okay. Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the car that cut off the bus left the scene, and they are trying to find that driver. Stay with wfla.com for the latest on this developing story.
