8 Saturday’s Market vendors arrested for counterfeit goods


Eight Saturday’s Market vendors have been arrested for selling counterfeit merchandise at the market. Detectives from the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office’s Criminal Investigation arrested the vendors on Saturday morning after a month-long investigation. Officials confiscated $8,500 in cash, a .40 caliber handgun and more than $100,000 worth of counterfeit clothing, boots and DVD’s. The vendors include 27-year-old Lawrence Stringer of Steelton, 42-year-old Ibrahim Oumarou of Steelton, 30-year-old Ahmed Bamba of Lancaster, 51-year-old Elhadj Abdoul-Karimou of Harrisburg, 30-year-old Michael Thompson of Harrisburg, 41-year-old Yaye Mounkaila of Harrisburg, 36-year-old Samantha Edwards of Harrisburg and 36-year-old Harley Smith of York.
